Please read these conditions carefully and retain for future reference as they form the basis of your contract between us Alpoholics Ltd and all those listed on the booking form on whose behalf the party leader is acting. A contract will only exist when we have received from you a completed and signed booking form and your deposit and we have sent to you confirmation of your booking and invoice.
A non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required at the time of booking. The final balance of payment is due 8 weeks prior to departure. If final payment has not been received by this date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation and the deposit shall not be refunded. Should the booking be made within 8 weeks of the date of departure, the full amount is payable immediately. No contract shall exist between Alpoholics Ltd (UK) and yourself until the deposit has been paid.
Due to the amount of expensive facilities and equipment in all of our chalets we will require a damage deposit of 20€ from each guest upon arrival. This will be taken in cash and repayed on checkout providing nothing has been damaged or broken. This includes the return of all our linen in a reasonable condition (i.e. not stained or soiled). Certain substances cannot be removed from white linen so any discovery of these substances (but not limited to only these substances) will result in the immediate forfeit of said deposit for the person/room in question: Tanning aids, hair dye, make-up, face and body paint.
In the event of any loss or damage caused we will bill the person/people responsible. If the person/people respoonsible are not immediately obvious and/or do not reveal themselves we will have no choice but to spread the cost over the entire chalet group. You will be billed the amount it costs Alpoholics to repair/replace any damaged items plus a reasonable percentage to cover our time and inconvenience. This will be at the discretion of Alpoholics management but will always be fair and reasonable.
Forms of Payment:
Acceptable payment types are through our secure online payment portal provided by Worldpay ltd. or the SumUp app which we use to accept American Express payments. We can also take € cash in resort but not Sterling. Prices are in £ (Pound Sterling) or Euros (€) depending on the product/service and what has been agreed upon booking or at such a time as said product/service is purchased.
In the event of dishonoured payment the group leader will be contacted to make immediate payment by other means. Failure to do this will mean automatic cancellation of the booking.
In the event of late payment of your final balance, charges or loss of revenue incurred on our behalf will be added to your balance.
Alpoholics Ltd. guarantees the price of the holiday as quoted at the time of booking and reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold holidays at any time. There will be no remibursement for any products or serviced bought at an agreed price if the price for the same product or service is subsequently lowered by Alpoholics or any of our partners for any reason.
By Alpoholics Ltd (UK) – In the unlikely event of Alpoholics Ltd (UK) having to cancel/change your holiday details you will be notified as soon as possible and will have the choice of the following, as applicable:
A – accepting the change.
B – accepting an alternative holiday with us at no extra cost.
C – If the change is substantial enough to reasonably warrant it, cancelling your holiday, in which case we will offer you a full refund.
By You – If you are obliged to cancel your booking you must inform Alpoholics Ltd (UK) in writing immediately to email@example.com . In all cases your deposit will be forfeited and you will become liable for charges on the following scale:
• Over 8 weeks before departure date – deposit only
• Under 8 weeks before departure – 100% of holiday cost unless we are able to fill the beds in which case any revenue lost by Alpoholics will be forfeited.
Whilst on Alpoholics Ltd (UK) property all clients are expected to behave in an orderly and acceptable manner. Should their behaviour threaten the condition of the accommodation or impair the enjoyment of other guests to an extent that may compromise our reputation or the chances of said guests returning to us in the future, Alpoholics Ltd (UK) reserves the right to refuse to further accommodate the guilty party and contractual obligations will be terminated. The guilty party will be liable for the cost of any damage so caused as well as any other costs incurred as a result of their expulsion from the premises.
In the event of death or personal injury to yourself or any of your party travelling with us under your booking we do not accept liability if such death or personal injury is not through any fault of ours or our supplier. In particular we do not accept responsibility if the death or personal injury is caused through no fault of ours or our suppliers or is due to circumstances which we could not reasonably foresee or have avoided.
You agree that if you have a claim against us which is the fault of another party that in the event of our dealing with your claim those rights that you have against the other party are transferred to us or our insurers. Various International Conventions govern compensation, which can be paid in other circumstances whilst on holidays or travelling and these Conventions apply to our Contract with you.
All persons undertaking the activities operated by Alpoholics Ltd (UK or France) and our suppliers accept and understand that the activities contain an inherent level of risk of death and personal injury, no claim pertaining to injuries or death sustained whilst participating in one of Alpoholics Ltd (UK) or our suppliers activities will be entertained nor liability accepted by Alpoholics Ltd (UK or France) or its suppliers.
Alpoholics Ltd (UK or France) will not be held responsible for any theft or loss of personal possessions from our premises / vehicles. Whilst we will endeavour to ensure the security of personal possessions of the party, we cannot guarantee it. Please be aware of this fact and leave expensive / personally valuable items at home.
We operate a strictly no smoking policy in all our vehicles and inside our accommodation facilities. If people wish to smoke they must do so outside of the property in designated smoking areas and dispose of any waste in the apropriate recepticles.
On arrival your room will be available after 4.00pm on departure day you must vacate your room by 10:00am. If required storage facilities for luggage will be provided on departure day however you will not be permitted to enter the chalet outside of these times in order to avoid compromising the experience of the imminently departing or recently arrived guests.
Arrival: If, however, you arrive earlier you are welcome to leave your luggage with us whilst you pop into town for a coffee or lunch. The same conditions apply to self-drive guests. You will not have any access to the chalet before these times so if arriving early please bear this in mind.
Departure: If you would like to ski on your last day, and consequently are planning to book a later return flight, Alpoholics can store your luggage in the chalet free of charge. We cannot provide a room to shower or change in or any access to the premises as the chalet will have been cleaned ready for new guests who could arrive at 4pm. We will of course try our best and if we can help we will.
Everyone booking a Alpoholics Ltd (UK) holiday must be insured. It is your responsibility to ensure that everyone in your party has purchased a suitable winter sports insurance policy. This should also cover missing your arrival transfer due to delayed flights/train and missing your return flight/train due to unforseen circumstances on the road from resort as conditions can be extreme and Alpoholics cannot take any responsibility for any unforseen circumstances or offer any compensation for any missed onward travel.
Any complaints should be made clear to chalet staff as soon as possible, preferably in resort, or in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 14 days after returning to the UK.
It is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport and/or any visa necessary. If you do not have a British or EC passport, please be sure to check visa requirements for the countries you will be visiting.
Applicable to Winter Chalet Holidays – Remember, most flights are to Geneva in Switzerland which is not an EC member.

Unless otherwise agreed, transfers are included in the price of your holiday provided the following conditions are met: (Geneva only)
La Plagne Chalets – Saturday Arrival/Departure Day
To ensure our complimentary transfers are available, please book your arrival day flights to arrive on the Saturday afternoon as close to but NO LATER THAN 2:15pm as the bus will aim to leave at around 3:15pm from Geneva. Your departure day flights need to depart early afternoon as close to but NO EARLIER THAN 2pm from Geneva (the bus will leave between 7:30 and 08:30am depending on expected traffic).
Feel free to book an earlier arrival day flight or a later departure day flight if it makes more sense but you may have to wait at the airport to connect with your transfer or return flight.
Complimentary transfers will normally consist of a shared coach with the other Alpoholics chalets (in the same resort) so provided that there are no flight delays we will keep waiting times to a minimum*.
Transfers from Aime for the snow train are complimentary on arrival days only, provided that the day trains are booked. Eurostar train arrive at Aime at around 18.47pm. Trains do not depart from Aime on your return journey but depart from Moutiers at 10:14am so please book accordingly.
Important: If you wish to arrive on the early snow train and/or leave on the later snow train we may be able to accommodate this but will need to know well in advance and an extra cost will apply depending on numbers as you may need a separate transfer.
There is no extra discount for self-drive.
Baby car seats and booster seats can be arranged for children and infants provided that all details on the booking form are correct and children’s details are correct at the time of travel. Complimentary transfers are not available under any other conditions and it is your responsibility that all your group members are aware of these conditions.
* For delayed flights, the maximum we can wait is up to half an hour after the scheduled departure time in order to avoid compromising driver hours regulations. If your flight is delayed by more than this we will endeavour to arrange an alternative. You will have to pay for this initially but you will normally be able to reclaim this on your travel insurance if you have kept within these times. It is not always possible to arrange an alternative and the only solution may sometimes be a taxi(s). Please ensure that you have sufficient travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
Transfers may be by our own vehicles or by vehicles of other providers with whom we might make arrangements from time to time. It may sometimes be necessary to combine, on certain transfers, clients arriving or departing on more than one flight, which may require additional waiting time at the airport. Clients travel in our vehicles or other providers’ vehicles at their own risk. Transport around resort during the holiday is at the discretion of Alpoholics staff.
IMPORTANT: Incorrect information that requires additional transfers be organized at short-notice will be charged at a minimum of 300 euros each way for up to 4 people. Additional seats will be charged at 90 euros per person thereafter.
On clear days the normal transfer time from Geneva to La Plagne is 2hr30mins. Due to extreme mountain conditions during the season this is not always possible. Therefore occasionally we have to allow 4+ hours to transport you safely back which includes adequate time to check-in. The decision will reside with Alpoholics or whichever transfer company has been hired.
We will always allow a sensible amount of time to get you safely and on time to the airport. However, there can be unforeseen exceptional circumstances that mean you miss your flight or train. Please note that for any costs incurred you will need to claim against your holiday insurance. We will provide any paperwork required to support your claim but please ensure that everyone in your party has an insurance policy that covers this eventuality.
If you would like to use our in-house Armada skis* or Bataleon Snowboards** you do so at your own risk and neither Alpoholics ltd. or any of its staff or partners can be held responsible for anything that may happen as a result (directly or indirectly) of using our equipment. Unfortunately we don’t do childrens equipment.
Our equipment is free to try for the 1st day but then we charge 15€ a day thereafter to cover maintenance. This is payable in resort in cash.
*Please note our skis are only suitable for intermediate skiers and above as they are not like the skis you would get from a rental shop and require a certain level of skill and control to get the most out of them.
Outdoor Shoes: It is important that, for your comfort, a pair of slippers or indoor shoes are included in your packing as outdoor shoes are strictly forbidden inside the chalet. Please also bring suitable footwear for walking in snowy/wet conditions.
Children: No matter how much care is taken, our chalet is not childproof. Alpoholics will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the chalet, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times.
Lost and Stolen Property: Any client not properly securing the exits after leaving the chalet will be liable for any property stolen as a result of that negligence.
Alpoholics will not be held responsible for any theft or loss of personal possessions from our premises / vehicles. Whilst Alpoholics will endeavour to ensure the security of guests’ personal possessions, Alpoholics cannot guarantee it.
It is up to the group leader to ensure that each member of the party is responsible for the safety of all their own personal possessions, documents and equipment. No responsibility or liability is or will be accepted in respect of such items.
Special Requests: If you have a special request, please clearly note this on your booking form, or if later make it in writing, but we cannot guarantee any request that you ask us to provide unless we have confirmed it in writing. If you request us to pass on requests to other service providers (e.g. Ski schools or nanny services) we cannot guarantee such services will be provided even if we confirm that they have been passed on. Please note that all services are provided subject to the conditions of the relevant supplier, some of which may limit or exclude the supplier’s liability to you.
