The Resort

"We had a great holiday - snow brilliant and so many runs to choose from you never repeat a day! Food fabulous & chalet spotless" - John, March 24'

The Resort of La Plagne is made up of 11 villages in total each offering a different feel and activities.  4 of our 5 chalets reside in the picturesque village of Plagne 1800, with the exception of our piste side option; Chalet Yogi further up in Plagne Centre.  Plagne 1800 contains everything you need on your holiday from bars, to a supermarket and several restaurants which we can recommend.  The Resort has a free shuttle bus that links the nearby villages of Plagne Bellecote and Plagne Centre so you are able to easily explore further afield.

“La Plagne itself is a fabulous resort , everyone is very friendly and we felt very welcome everywhere”

“Because La Plagne is such a high resort, good snow is the norm”

The Resort Activities

If you’re seeking that extra dose of excitement, La Plagne offers a range of thrilling activities to elevate your experience. Get ready for an adrenaline rush on the 1.5km Olympic Bobsleigh track, where you can choose from various riding options. Whether you prefer to go solo, share the excitement with friends, or entrust your ride to a professional bob racer, this exhilarating experience will leave you breathless.

For a different kind of thrill, soar through the air on the zip line that connects Aime 2000 and Plagne Centre. Feel the wind in your hair as you take in the stunning panoramic views from above.  Or if you crave a bird’s-eye perspective of La Plagne, take to the skies for a parasailing adventure. Feel the exhilaration as you glide through the air and take in the mountain views around you.

Explore the slopes in unique ways, such as embarking on a husky ride, hopping on a skidoo for an exhilarating adventure, or venturing on a snow-shoe excursion on foot. Alternatively, enjoy a seated option by racing down the toboggan track, descending into the heart of Plagne Centre.  If you want somethign more relaxing why not head to the Spa in BellePlagne, or even back to the comfort of your own chalet for the hot tub or sauna, or even an in-house massage?

Ski School

From complete novices to the experts, there is always room for improvement.  We work closely with two ski schools if you are in need of some tuition regardless of your ability.  Whether its telemarking, cross-country, off-piste, snowboarding or freestyle they are sure to have you covered! The ski schools meet in Plagne Centre.  Although with private lessons you can sometimes make alternative arrangements for them to meet you in Plagne 1800.

The first company ‘Reflex’ is great for private tuition or small groups to really hone in on what you need to improve and get the most out of your time on the slopes.

Reflex are a small team of ski, snowboard and telemark instructors with many years of teaching experience and extensive knowledge of the La Plagne and Paradiski area.

They have group lessons over February and Easter holidays, but we mainly recommend them for private lessons.  This is due to their small structure which allows them to focus on personalized tuition adapted to each individual so you can really get the most out of your lesson time.  All their ski instructors speak very good English.  They also offer snow-shoeing trips.

Oxygene is the second company we work closely with who are great for group lessons.  They offer a number of different options depending on your needs, and also do snowboard taster days if you fancy trying something new!  Oxygene are a large family run company whose instructors all speak English.  The company also run a minibus pick up service for their lessons which can be helpful for complete novices to get to the meeting point in Plagne Centre on time.

We can help organise your ski lessons before your holiday.

Aprés in the Resort

Whether you just want to head back to the chalet to eat cake and have a nap, or you’re ready to unwind with a few beers we’ve got you covered!  There are a number of bars in the resort that provide live music for Aprés.  If it’s a piste side party you’re looking for then you can ski straight into Bergerie restaurant for a dance and a warming Vin Chaud!  La Bergerie underwent a huge expansion in 2019 consisting of a new outdoor venue with a DJ Balcony and Ski Gondola VIP Booth!  For full details of where to get your Aprés kicks check out our Aprés page!

Cantine – Opposite Mustang Chalet in Plagne 1800 you just can’t go wrong with a great pizza!  They also do burgers, and various specials each evening.

Loop Blanc – Opposite the Antoine complex near the lifts they do an array of classical French food, but also pizzas too.

Chaperone Rouge – A little further up the slope from the lifts they do a classic Corcican offering of French Classics.  Have your own Cote de Boef cooked over an open fire.

Tour D’Grill – While they do dinner inside, the main star of the show is having your own BBQ lunch on the terrace.  They will bring an array of meats to cook yourself alongside the potato and salad sides.

Refuge – Up in Plagne Centre, a nice array of French traditional cuisine with some good set menu choices.
